Repairing a Listed Cottage Door Instead of Replacing It

Listed building consent governs anything beyond straightforward repair on the older doors around the High Street, Deanway and School Lane, so replacing an original front door is usually off the table. The tidy answer is a keyed-alike set: every cylinder replaced with units cut to a single key, the whole property surveyed and priced as one job, and the old keys retired in one go.
